A Little Taste of Christmas 2009!

Let me just start off by saying that I am so thankful for my Savior and this wonderful time of year that we can celebrate His birth. What a blessing to know His plan for each of us and KNOW that He loves us.
We had a pretty nice Christmas. We were not able to go down to Colorado to be with my family like we had planned due to car trouble. I cannot convey the drama and very upset family that we had because of it but we made the best of the situation and had a pretty nice day. The kids dressed up and did the Christmas story. Makay and Makenna were Joseph and Mary...SO CUTE!!! Poor Mark was the donkey but he did a very nice job of not bucking little Mary off. Mason and Matthew were the Shepherds and wise men, they had a busy night. I got to read the story and fix costumes the entire time but it went well and the kids enjoyed making the story personal. We had a Merry Christmas and enjoyed spending time together as a family.

Birthdays are in the Air!

So there are these two little boys in our family. One who came to our family ten years ago this month, and one who came to our family six years ago this month! They, along with their two other siblings are amazing!!! I could not have asked for better children. Plus, they are really rather cute so that kind of makes it even better. Happy birthday Mason and Makay! You two are so great and we are so happy to be their parents!

Tis the Season for Some Singing

Well, you know that you have officially arrived at the Holiday Season when the schools start to put on Christmas Programs. We got to go see Matt's and Makay's tonight. It was so cute!! They had dancing and singing. I was shocked what they were able to get Kindergartners and second graders to do. They pretended to be on the Polar Express and they all wore pajamas and slippers; it was so sweet.

Trick or Treat, Smell My Feet!"

We got to go trick or treating with the kids on Halloween and we had a great time. There is nothing like the magic that comes with watching your kids have fun. They light up and it is addicting. No matter how tired I was the kids' excitement refueled me and we had a BLAST!!!!

SNOW!?!?!?!?

O.K. Let's just state for the record that Fall just got here. I am almost certain that Eastern Idaho did not get the memo that we needed to do fall before winter. My kids on the other hand, LOVE this. We made the best of it and got wet, cold and just had an awesome time out in the freezer we live in, known as Rexburg! Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

I Am Makin' Some TU TUs

I just learned how to make tu tus, much to Mark's dismay, and I have had so much fun with it. I made one for Makenna and she is more than happy to model it, she is very into all things girly. The tu tu on the hanger, is for my little niece who's birthday is coming up very soon!!!

Utah with the Cousins

We had the chance to go down to Utah for Labor Day weekend and spend some time down there with family. Mark's older brother and his wife were very gracious hosts and we had a great time! We all got to go out to Thanksgiving Point and let the kids see the Dinosaur Museum there. They had a total blast playing in the water, sculpting their own prehistoric environment and they got to dust off some dino bones! They are so amazing together and it was fun to get them together again! The adults got to go out on a date to a Jon Schmidt concert! AMAZING MUSIC!!!! We had a great time and it was so nice to leave the kids home, though we do love them tons! Jamie's parents were wonderful to come watch all seven of the kids so we could do that and my gratitude is very great and deep for their kindness! Here are a few pics of the concert (Jon actually plays upside down on a couple of the songs! AMAZING!!) Here are some of the family as well.

The Pitter Patter of Little Feet!

I had the chance to go over to Boise for a baby shower this past weekend. My sister-in-law Angie and her husband Keven are going to have their first little baby in October. It was so fun spending time with them and getting away for some much needed time alone. They got some great things and baby Carter is going to have a great selection of stylin' new clothes when he gets here! We can't wait to see him!
