I Am "Cracking" up at the Pinewood Derby!

Mason and Matt's Pinewood Derby was this past week! Matt got 2nd Place and Mason got 3rd place! I was pretty proud considering, that the boys' cars didn't have any rules to meet such as weight limit, shape, etc. They just had to be able to carry a raw egg down the track and not break when the car came to a smashing halt on the opposite wall or upside down from being kicked by the onslaught of running kids! It was definitely a different type of Pinewood Derby than I have ever been to and I kind of miss the old way it should be done but the kids had a good time and despite cleaning up raw egg all night, I think it was a smashing success!

Blast from the Past!

So my mom kept all of my dresses that I wore when I was growing up. These are not just some silly dresses that we got off the clearance rack at a store, they are each precious because my Grandmother and one of my aunts made each of them. I am so excited that my daughter is starting to fit into them and even more excited that they are for the most part coming back into style. It was so sweet putting a dress on Makenna that I wore when I was her age and she looks so beautiful! The colors are so vivid and she looks like my little salsa dancer.
