31!?!?!

The number thirty one really did not ever mean too much to me...until I reached the age and now I am trying to come to terms with it:

After all, there is the 31 best hits cd., there are 31 days in this glorious month of May, and there are of course, the famous, delicious thirty-one flavors ice cream...

And there is the MIG-31 fighter jet and Messier 31 (the Andromeda Galaxy)

But turning thirty-one always seemed like quite a distance for me and that it would take forever to get there. Like it or not I am thirty-one years young today and ...it really doesn't feel so bad! I think I will be just fine being thirty-one for the year!!!

What do ya know? Two year olds can look like princesses!!

Over the Easter break, we got to take a trip down to Colorado to see my family! It was so fun and we got to enjoy my parents and my brother and his family! Heather, my sister-in-law and I took pictures of our three girls in the adorable Easter dresses she made for them. It was too close to my two-year old's nap time and so it was a chore to get some good pics in but wonders never cease and we did capture some definite princess moments! I only have one picture of beautiful, baby Lilah. She is one of the absolute happiest babys I have ever had the pleasure to know. So, to sum up, baby plus two two year olds may be hard to photograph all at the same time but so worth the end product! They are all princesses!

I Am "Cracking" up at the Pinewood Derby!

Mason and Matt's Pinewood Derby was this past week! Matt got 2nd Place and Mason got 3rd place! I was pretty proud considering, that the boys' cars didn't have any rules to meet such as weight limit, shape, etc. They just had to be able to carry a raw egg down the track and not break when the car came to a smashing halt on the opposite wall or upside down from being kicked by the onslaught of running kids! It was definitely a different type of Pinewood Derby than I have ever been to and I kind of miss the old way it should be done but the kids had a good time and despite cleaning up raw egg all night, I think it was a smashing success!

Blast from the Past!

So my mom kept all of my dresses that I wore when I was growing up. These are not just some silly dresses that we got off the clearance rack at a store, they are each precious because my Grandmother and one of my aunts made each of them. I am so excited that my daughter is starting to fit into them and even more excited that they are for the most part coming back into style. It was so sweet putting a dress on Makenna that I wore when I was her age and she looks so beautiful! The colors are so vivid and she looks like my little salsa dancer.

Celebrating My Honey and Our Marriage!

This past weekend My sweetheart turned 33 years old. He ages so gracefully and you wouldn't know it when you look at him that he is 33. He is so talented and has made quite an impression in his career and the people who he works with. He is a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and friend. A very happy birthday sweetheart!

We also get to celebrate 11 years together today, February 12th, 2010. I am so grateful for Mark coming into my life and I am grateful to be married to him. He keeps life exciting and I still never know what to expect from him. He is full of surprises and he gives purpose to my days and love to my life.

I Can't Wait Until I'm 8 for Then I'll Be Baptized You See

Matthew turned eight this past weekend! We had the ultimate birthday/Baptism gathering for him. Everybody from Mark's side of the family came and although not everyone from my side of the family was able to make it, they were in our hearts! We were busy, busy, busy! We had a party, and had his Baptism which was so wonderful. I was overwhelmed watching one of my babies going into the waters of Baptism and I was completely choked up when he came out of the freezing cold, water sputtering and threw his arms around his dad. What a beautiful moment I will ALWAYS cherish in my heart! We had a snowball fight to which I have not seen it's equal! It was a total blast this weekend and we are so thankful for our wonderful family for coming so far and taking the time to share this time with us!

Here are some pictures of our amazing weekend! I captured a lot of great things I will always want to keep close to my heart!
