Keepin' It Real

Life wouldn't be complete with out the everyday things that happen and being able to capture some of that life with the camera. Here is a little of our everyday happenings these past couple of months. Mason, Matthew, Makay and Makenna had some really great times with their family in Colorado in some of these sweet pictures. Makenna and Penny, Makenna's cousin are very close in size. Makenna is in the red jacket and Penny is in the yellow. So Cute!We caught a shot with my younger brother Kory and Penny and even caught Makenna and Penny with matching crocs! A special pic with Kenna and her Grandma Peine!

Boys Will Be Boys!

This summer has been so busy! We have been on so many trips and just tried to keep up with our family. Mason learned how to drive his grandparent's four-wheeler and the boys have ridden their bikes from the flat, windy roads of Idaho to the red dirt of Colorado and now to the rough, rocky mountains above Logan, Utah. We are convinced that boys don't get easier as they get older because there are larger mountains for them to climb and more dirt to clean off of them. It is Great!

Can't Beat Those Colorado Mountains

We had the chance to go visit my family again in Colorado in June. I tried to capture a little of the beauty that the mountains by my parents house have to offer! Take a LOOK!

Summer is Just About Here!

While waiting for Summer Break to come we have been busy. We went to Colorado and we have been wrapping up things at school. It has been a chaotic last month of school but it is coming quickly to a close. Summertime here we come!

We got to go down to Colorado for Mother's Day to be with my mom. We had such a great time! The boys got to go on a Father's and Son's Camp Out with their grandpa, uncle Kory and their dad. We enjoyed a much needed break.

Mason and Matthew got to run the Mile for school and I had the chance to run with them. I was shocked to get a 9 min. mile when I haven't ran a timed- mile in about ten years. It was a lot of fun and the boys did awesome!

Makenna is ready for swimsuit season! We found a cute suit at Old Navy for a really good deal and she does not mind modeling it for the camera despite the diaper peaking out for all to see.

A Little Slice of Recent Balzen Life

We have been so busy these past couple of months and so there have been some pictures I have neglected to post. Here is a small up-date of our recent and not so recent pics.

Makenna is sitting on the bike and Oh so proud! The boys stop running long enough to pose. Makenna is not sure if she is having a good enough day to play peek-a-boo but she is humoring me for now. A pic of the kids. Is Makay having fun yet?

Mason's Basketball skills. He had so much fun playing basketball these past couple of months.

Mark is playing Thanksgiving Day Football. Hey the Pros missed out!! Mark's loyal onlookers and their brave attempts at suffering through the rain to support their daddy!
Makenna deciding if becoming an Olympic Swimmer is right for her.

Spring Break

We got to have Spring Break over Easter weekend. We had a lot of fun. We went to the park and flew airplanes, played baseball, and every other board game you can think of. We went shopping for badly needed wardrobe updates, I cannot believe how fast these kids are growing. We got to go to some really fun easter egg hunts all around Rexburg and had a really amazing Easter. Makenna loves the pretty colors of easter and thinks that it is designed especially for girls.
On a serious note, I am so grateful for my Savior. He made it possible for me to take my sweet families into the eternities. He gave me the chance to repent and make things right when I have messed up, which sometimes feels like a daily occurance. I am so thankful for Him and His example of pure and eternal love.
We hope that you all had a very happy Easter!

Conference Weekend

So we decided to go out and take some fun pictures in between conference sessions. We had the chance to go to the BYU-I Horticulture Gardens which has changed so much in the past eleven years since we were living here last. We also got the chance to go to the Idaho Falls Temple and the green belt that you can walk around in front of the Temple. It was a fun but very crazy weekend.
