I wanted to get all of the kids pictures done at the same time and since there is so much snow outside and it would have been hard to get out for a photo shoot, I went ahead and ordered pictures through a company in Idaho falls for a quick, current picture of each of the kids. They are cute but I am excited to get out and do some for myself as well. Mason is nine years old now, Matthew is seven, Makay is five years old and Makenna is 18 months.

Makenna's First Haircut!

So I decided that even though I loved Makenna's long hair, it was only long in the back and I didn't want to make her go around with a redneck hair style so I tried something new. I think it looks cute but it was my first time cutting a girl's hair and so I am glad that she is young enough so she can't be too embarrassed by any imperfections.

Our Rexburg Home

We have moved now to Rexburg and we love it! I forgot how insanely cold it is but even considering that, we are still happy to be here. When we got here there was about three feet of snow around the house, then everything melted away and started to warm up. Well, just this morning on April 3rd, we woke up to a foot of new snow and it is still coming down. Life is an adventure here for sure! These pictures are a taste of what our family has been up to here. My boys are sneaking chocolate chips, Makenna is climbing on everything she can in her cute pink dance outfit her Grandma Balzen gave her, etc.

A Big Two Years in Sacramento for Mason!

Mason had a very busy time in the two years that we were living in California. I am again very behind in getting this posted but I wanted to document that it did happen. Mason had the chance to be Baptized in December of 2006 by his dad and then he got to go into Cub Scouts and get a start on that. He earned his Wolf Badge and is now working to finish his Bear. It has been a busy but fun past two years in California.

Trying to Catch Up!
I just barely got started on this Blog stuff. I don't know, I guess I am seriously behind the times plus I don't know how so many can keep up with it. I just don't have the time I would like but here is my best efforts. For all of our family and friends who wanted to see this past Halloween's pics. I am sorry it has taken me so long but I finally got them on. Mason was a vampire and into looking the part exactly no matter how gross. Matthew was Indiana Jones and very proud. Makay was Mutt on Indiana Jones. Makenna was our cute chubby pumpkin. It was so fun and again, I am sorry that it is so out of order with the rest of the blog.

Leaving Sacramento

Well the time has come for us to leave our Sacramento home. We are moving to Rexburg, Idaho where Mark has a job at Madison Memorial Hospital. We are excited to go back to the place where Mark and I met but it is going to be very hard to leave all of the wonderful people we have met here in Sac. We are so grateful for those who have touched our lives so deeply here and we will miss them so badly and hope to always keep in touch with as many as we can.

Family Photos!
So we don't have any idea what compells us to try to take family pictures right around the holidays. You would think that it would be so much easier to do that any other time of the year, but we seem to enjoy the drama of squeezing just one more thing into an already overloaded time. We always say that it will be quick and painless but by the time we are through Mom and Dad look like they just roped a tornado and at least one of the children have been bribed to stay in place and smile. It is never easy but the end product is worth the CRAZY!!!!!

New York, New York!

We had the chance to drop our kids off in Boise this summer and jet off to New York. Melissa's brother lives out there doing his residency at one of the hospitals out there so, we had a first hand tour guide. It was such an awesome experience. We saw Manhattan, went to a Broadway Show, and toured all that there is to see there. Then, we had the opportunity to drive up to Palmyra and see the Sacred Grove and the Hill Cumorah. It was so amazing!!! We want to go back again!

It has been a while since I posted anything new. Life seems to keep flying by no matter what you do. Here are some newer pictures of Makenna. She is now 6 months old.
It is so fun having a little girl.
